Description
This coffee is plantation A certified which is the highest grade.
Grown in the lush, tropical hills of Karnataka, India Mysore Plantation A is a bold, full-bodied coffee with a dry finish and complex cupping notes of clove, tobacco, chocolate, and a touch of ginger spice. These green beans are sourced from carefully selected farms in regions such as Chikmagalur, Coorg, Biligiris, Bababudangiris, and Shevaroys – each bringing its own character to this expertly balanced blend.
India’s long coffee heritage traces back to the 17th century, with Bababudan introducing coffee to the country. Today, varietals such as S795, Sln5B, Chandigiri, and Cauvery – many with Kent lineage or Robusta-Arabica hybrids – are cultivated under shade and intercropped with pepper and cardamom to promote biodiversity and economic sustainability.
Picked ripe and pulped without fermentation, these beans are sorted and sun-dried on patios or mechanically dried, depending on volume and weather. This traditional Indian processing method preserves clarity and body, making these green beans a favourite for roasters seeking spice-forward, rich profiles with low acidity and smooth depth.
Ideal for espresso, dark roasts, or complex filter blends, India Mysore Plantation A green beans offer roasters a unique origin with year-round consistency and character.
